What motivated you to initiate your brand and named it “GLISS THE OBJECT” at first place?

Ploynapas Tantisinlapapong: I’ve always had a passion for fashion and shopping. Having just graduated and started working, the budget was limited, but there was a desire for quality products with beautiful designs—something that would look good when carried. I felt that there weren’t many Thai brands offering mid-range prices with designs I liked. It was either cheap with low quality or expensive, leaning towards luxury brands. So, I decided to start the brand Gliss the Object

How does “GLISS THE OBJECT” define femininity?

Ploynapas Tantisinlapapong: At GLISS THE OBJECT, femininity is all about confidence and individuality. It’s the balance between being bold and expressive while maintaining elegance and grace. Our designs reflect this by blending unique, playful elements with timeless classics, allowing women to express their personality effortlessly. For us, femininity isn’t about fitting into a mold—it’s about celebrating the many facets of being a woman through style and self-expression.

What kind of woman do you envision wearing “GLISS THE OBJECT”?

Ploynapas Tantisinlapapong: She is a confident woman who is bold and expressive, yet remains humble and grounded. Gliss The Object bags aim to convey the idea that a bag is an essential accessory, one that highlights the personality of the person carrying it. What we strive to communicate through our bags is a sense of chicness and unique character, whether through playful color combinations, materials, or intricate details. At the same time, the bags maintain a classic design, making them versatile for everyday use.

Could you please share where you typically find your inspirations?

Ploynapas Tantisinlapapong: I usually find inspiration when I travel to different places. Seeing the people, their cultures, and the way they dress always gives me fresh ideas. I love wandering through local markets, visiting art galleries, or discovering unique little shops—it’s amazing how creativity shows up in so many ways. Sometimes, it’s the little things, like the colors in nature or the details in architecture, that catch my eye. Traveling really helps me see things from a new perspective and brings a fresh vibe to my work.

Could you share some of the current fashion trends or brands emerging in Thailand?

Ploynapas Tantisinlapapong: Fashion trends in Thailand are incredibly dynamic right now. The new generation embraces individuality, dressing in ways that reflect their personal style rather than following specific trends. At the same time, the "old money" aesthetic has been gaining traction among those drawn to its timeless elegance. There’s also a noticeable shift toward supporting local brands, as more Thais appreciate their affordability and high quality. At the same time, many new Thai brands are emerging, each showcasing its own unique and standout style.

What challenges have you faced while building your brand?

Ploynapas Tantisinlapapong: One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced while building my brand has been managing people and operations. It’s not just about creating beautiful designs; it’s about ensuring everyone on the team is aligned and motivated. Communication, delegation, and maintaining a positive work culture are constant learning curves.

On top of that, managing stock and inventory can be tricky—finding the balance between having enough products to meet demand without overproducing. Handling unexpected situations, like supply chain delays or shifting customer preferences, has been challenging but also a valuable part of the learning process. Balancing creativity with the business side of things is tough, but it’s all part of the journey.

What advice would you offer to individuals aspiring to establish their own business in the fashion industry?

Ploynapas Tantisinlapapong: Since there are so many new brands emerging nowadays, starting a fashion brand is relatively easy, but sustaining it is the real challenge. Before launching your brand, identify your uniqueness—what sets you apart from competitors. Focus on your strengths and think about what value or experience your customers can gain from your products. It’s not just about the design but also about the story, quality, and emotional connection you can create with your audience. Understand your target market deeply and deliver something that resonates with them while staying true to your brand identity.
